Walking around after we visited the Kingston farmers market we got hungry. Saw Diego's and decided to give it a try. Super happy we did! We sat outside and it was a bit chilly as the sun was blocked and it was a bit windy. I decided to get the street corn chowder hoping it would warm me up and it sure did. It was also delicious. Never tasted anything like it before. Loved the quest, cilantro and the spice gave it such great flavor. It's was so rich, creamy and the pieces of the corn off the cob gave it a great bite. My husband got the street corn and said it was excellent. The pescado taco was the best fried cod taco I have ever had. Fish was cooked perfectly and the beer batter was so crispy. The slaw and cilantro made a perfect bite. I added some of the tomatillo salsa that came with the chips for a little heat and it was amazing. Can't wait to come back!
Soooo delicious. Servers are great and it's always a relaxed yet attentive customer service experience. Have tried almost every taco and they are all amazing. Margaritas might be my favorite part and well priced. Only complaint is they close from lunch to dinner. On our vacation to beacon we walked around for the hours in-between twice just to get more tacos and margs!!! Owner bought us a drink too.
Popped in for a double shot of Dulce Vita , which one of the bartenders put me on to. It was delish. Washed that down with a modelo. & I was not that hungry so I had one fish taco and it was slamming . Beer battered fish with Crunchy coleslaw on top . A creamy chipotle sauce and fresh cilantro and onions on top . I sat at the bar and all the waitresses were very friendly . I will go back next time I'm in Kingston . Oh and a great music selection.
Delicious. Everything. And our service was great. The cucumber margaritas were a nice balance of not too sweet and refreshing, the guacamole was nuanced and fresh, the soup was out of the world- I could have it every night- and the tacos- veggie, fish and pork were JUST fancy enough without being fussy. The ingredients were fresh and I would grab Diego's tacos every night if I lived closer!
We LOVE Diego's. Every dish we have tried has been outstanding. The corn chowder, tacos, bowls, etc., are all very flavorful and beautifully presented. They have done a terrific job during these trying times. This is comfort food, pure and simple.
